The Pascal Painted Path

It was amongst the believers. We were in an atmosphere of strong faith. Sitting silently in my chair, in an instant I saw the straight and narrow path.

In my spirit I knew what it was. Oftentimes I pondered about this passage. It was much different than I conditioned myself to believe through the years. Sometimes I pictured a tightrope narrow path, trying to balance back and forth walking down the stringy narrow path. But there it was the path, very different than imagined. Wide enough on both sides to dance, but not enough for 2. So clean cut on both sides. Even with a magnifying glass no one could detect any deviation, without crack or crinkle, or any bent or budge, just straight. Very straight.

The straight and narrow path is a journey with the King that each and every soul has their own opportunity to take up. Not enough for another, but only the guidance of the Lord. But where is the broad path? Certainly the temptation to just turn would be accessible. This path was not in sight, nor even near, for I believe it's the path that leads us not into temptation. Just a straight pleasant pascal path.

The rails also caught my attention. For what use? I used to picture the path with opposing roads in different directions. This path was 1 in unity and had a strong rail post on each side. Walking in truth and love, we get the abiding guidance of the Holy Spirit. May we keep in step with the Holy Spirit on this narrow path. He is faithful to gallantly guide us.

Looking down the path there wasn't rays of beaming light, but something very different at the end. A soft, heartwarming white pascal that was a comfort at every twinkle of the eye. Maybe this was because the blinding light would be too much? He is the one beckoning me forth like the sweet smell of the fruit in season. The one who had overcome is ahead beckoning us in.

Take a stand on the pascal-colored path and let Him lead you in truth and transparency. Take heed of the rail in the guidance of the Holy Spirit, stand in place where temptation is not in face, and walk gallantly down the path where we will find the author and perfector of our faith.
